About me.
Born in Berlin Zehlendorf, my family moved to the northern German countryside in 1991. As an active kid playing for the local football club, I experienced my share of sports injuries. The recovery was my first contact with good physiotherapy and medical care.
I moved back to Berlin after completing my first apprenticeship in business management. Soon after moving to Berlin, I realized my true passion was to do a type of work that helps people. I shifted my focus to learning about physical health and wellbeing. In 2009, I started my physiotherapy training at the Wannseeschule in Berlin.
My passion for in a more in-depth understanding of the body lead me to Osteopathy. Osteopathy is the individual consideration of a person's history and everyday life. The therapy questions how habits, living conditions, and genetic predisposition lead to acute or chronic pain and illness. It is the search for causes and the mechanisms behind the symptoms. I studied Osteopathy part time from 2013 to 2019. By studying part time, I was able to apply and test Osteopathic therapy in my daily work from the beginning.
Over the years nutrition and cooking have increasingly flowed into my thinking and actions as a therapist. The next step in my understanding and education was to delve into how food effects the body and mind. I am currently completing my Master's degree in clinical Psycho-neuro-immunology; the study of how lifestyle, stress and diet effects diseases. It proves that food can be healing! And it can be explained with a more scientific background.
My training and further education over the last 15 years has resulted in a treatment concept that incorporates many influences from everyday life into the analysis of the individually described problems. I call it integrative medicine because it combines a the science of physiotherapy, osteopathy and nutrition. These factors together create my approach to functional medicine.
