Philip Siemens
Osteopathy & Integrative Medicine
Welcome!
Since 2009, I have worked as a therapist in the Berlin healthcare system. I am an Osteopath, Physiotherapist, and Alternative Medicine Practitioner (Heilprakiter).
In my practice, I integrate these three specializations into a holistic and scientifically based treatment approach that attempts to determine and resolve the individual mechanism of a symptom.
A range of manual osteopathic and physiotherapeutic techniques, physical assessments, and exercise methods are used in my practice.
I also consult on various areas of life, such as diet, exercise, and everyday behaviours. Laboratory testing of stool, microbiome, and blood, as well as detailed diet and supplement plans based on the individual's treatment needs can also be provided.
I treat people of almost all ages and conditions, both with acute injuries and chronic complaints. Throughout my 15 years of professional experience, I have worked with a wide variety of clients, from professional athletes and artists to business executives.
I would like to help guide you on your personal path to health.
My Subject Areas
Osteopathy
Osteopathy is a holistic, manual therapy method that attempts to activate the body's own mechanisms that the human body needs for healing. This includes, for example, eliminating restrictions in blood circulation and innervation.
Integrative Medicine
In integrative medicine, different areas of life are examined and investigated in order to draw conclusions about complex health problems. In addition to a comprehensive medical history, laboratory tests, such as blood and stool analyses, are also used as diagnostic tools.
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy is primarily focused on the musculoskeletal system and the treatment of disorders or injuries to it. By applying manual techniques and teaching self-exercises, it can be helpful for musculoskeletal symptoms.
Specializations
Chiropractic treatment
Learning chiropractic techniques is part of osteopathic training. They are used when a joint is "stuck" and causing severe pain or restricted movement. However, they should only be used in the context of other treatment techniques, not as a sole solution strategy.
Fascia treatment
Fascia treatments are an important part of osteopathy and are based on manual techniques for releasing connective tissue. The treatment can help to quickly relieve pain and restricted movement, especially after acute injuries.
Jaw treatment
Osteopathic jaw joint treatments for craniomandibular dysfunctions go beyond the pure treatment of the jaw joint. The jaw is placed in the context of the rest of the body. The treatment can have an impact on muscle tension in the head and neck, toothaches, headaches, teeth grinding, tinnitus and much more.
Gut rehabilitation
When it comes to stomach pain, flatulence, indigestion, heartburn, fatigue or susceptibility to infections, intestinal health is sometimes the underlying cause.
An analysis of the intestinal condition includes, in addition to a possible stool examination, a detailed survey of food contents and individual behavior around eating.
Nutritional counseling
Unfortunately, there is no universally applicable nutritional recommendation; in fact, we would need 8 billion individual concepts. However, if we take human evolution, from which we all originate, as a guide, there are sensible measures and recommendations that can make an important contribution to health in the short and long term.
