Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a holistic, manual therapy method which aims to activate the body's healing mechanisms. As an osteopath, I try to find and eliminate existing blockages by imparting knowledge and manually treating the various types of tissue in the musculoskeletal system and organ systems.

In addition to a discussing your detailed medical history, various physical tests are carried out to determine the origin of the symptom. Sometimes the right words are simply missing to express what is needed for understanding the source of concern. However, our body shows us in various ways what we need to feel better. This can be read and interpreted in posture and muscle movement, skin colour, facial expressions and gestures, tissue texture and much more. These detailed tests and examinations allows conclusions to be drawn about a possible deeper or long-standing causes of symptoms.

In modern osteopathy, in addition to the musculoskeletal system and the nervous, vascular and organ systems, the so-called "bio-psycho-social environment" of a person is also considered. This describes the subjective "world" in which a person lives every day. This approach helps to identify other possible individual stress factors, to relate them to the disturbing symptoms and to influence them through personal understanding and behavioural changes.
