Fascia treatment

Fascia treatments are an important part of osteopathy and are based on manual techniques for releasing connective tissue deformation. The treatment can help to quickly relieve pain and restricted movement, especially after acute injuries.

There are now various therapeutic approaches to treating fascia and connective tissue. The concept mentioned here is called the "fascial distortion model" and was founded by an American osteopath named Stephen Typaldos. It describes various pathological changes (so-called distortions) within the fascia and their diagnosis using human gestures and body language.

The therapy is carried out using specific manual movements, adapted to the respective type of distortion. If the diagnosis and choice of technique are correct, changes in the sensation of pain and mobility may occur at the moment of treatment.

Fascia techniques can be used very effectively, especially in the area of sports injuries and pain syndromes of the musculoskeletal system.
